I think we have both aired our concerns and thoughts here. I don't see that much progress will be made by going further.

I appreciate having had the discussion with you, and that it was discussed on the merits and didn't degenerate into insults, name calling, etc. as many discussions on SI do. That's to both of our credits.

But it's time for me to move on.

The Israelis have kept the Palestinians in refugee camps for over 50 years.

The Israelis kicked some Palestinians off their lands. An apparently greater number of Palestinians left without being kicked off and the Israelis didn't let them back. The Palestinians consider that to be unjust, but just or not it isn't keeping the Palestinians in refugee camps for 50 years. If the Arab governments in the other countries, or the PA in the West Bank or Gaza don't let the Palestinians live elsewhere then they are keeping the Palestinians in the camps. If the Palestinians can't afford land or there are few houses or apartments available then no specific person or group is directly responsible.

A. Sharon, the current PM of Israel, was tried by an Israeli tribunal and found guilty in the slaughter of thousands of Palestinians in Lebanon.

No he was not found guilty of any crime. The Israeli investigation did blame him for not preventing the massacres but that isn't the same thing as being "found guilty in the slaughter of..."
