I'm retired, too. My income changed dramatically with my recent retirement so it's hard to gauge the change from the tax cut. I noticed that someone here had mentioned the tax cut in terms of a change in withholding. So I checked the change in withholding on my pension statement and it was twelve bucks a month. That's barely more than a rounding error. When I do my taxes next month, maybe I'll find some more in the dividends department.

The tax cut wasn't aimed at folks like me so I wasn't expecting anything. I wasn't complaining, only offering an possible explanation for the way that single and married women responded to the poll question.
