The French judge Jean-Louis Bruguière is among the most successful terrorist hunters of the world

Good article - thanks for translating it !

I know since I was following the goings on closely that the kid gloves came off when the French dealt with the hijackers that wanted to fly a plane into the Eiffel Tower. They sweet talked them into landing in Marseille on the pretext that the plane had to refuel, and their DST swat team took them out.

I lived in Paris region for two waves of metro terrorist bombings, major attacks were on the RER ligne B I routinely took into the city. It was not fun stuff worrying about that. It was only last year that the British finally allowed extradition of the organizers to be tried in France. So much for international "cooperation" on this issue.

Thank you -- the article reminds me of what Soros has been say, treat 9/11 and related terrorism as a law enforcement issue rather than a military issue. The military solution (invasions and bombings) are not the answer to the threat we face.

<<The French judge Jean-Louis Bruguière >>
Just what we need, a combination of Sherlock, Clint Eastwood. and 007 in one package.
Kind of makes you like the French.
