They opened Oakwoods bottoms to hunting a few years ago and it was a warm fall. Flooded timber between the Mississippi River and the Shawnee Hills. Hippers ok but chest highs were better. Hump in your two dozen dekes.

About 50 guys showed up and no ducks were killed. All day it was "SNAKE BAM". It's a natural migration route for moccasins, rattlers and copperheads from the Mississippi to the dens in the hills. Now they close the roads for two weeks in the spring and fall into the place to let the snakes through.
