A free coupon to use on anything in the store. I guess the Fed is not only ones able to "print" money.(g) The day it was to expire we were across the road at my store...LOW (Lowe's to my wife!..(g)..) I obliged and dropped her off at the door so she could scoop something up for free or get $10 off of SOMETHING! She was in the store long enough to get me irritated. I called, she would be out shortly...waited, and finally she came out. Her story: She went in and immediately found a clearnce rack that was 50% off and the whole store had an additional 15% off the lowest price, exception was coats. Well, she found a leather jacket on a rack, fit well and looked nice. Hmmm...$149.95...50%...$75...maybe another 15% since it was not with the coats...$64...another $10 coupon...OK I'll buy it. She waits in line and the item will not ring up on the register when scanned. My wife is worried the 15% will not apply...she is thinking about not getting the coat. The cashier calls...gets done and says you will love this deal, how about 50. My wife was thinking cool...$50 and my $10 coupon, $40 for the leather jacket was the deal of the month! My wife hands over the Kohl's card (don't worry...we carry no balance) and the $10 coupon. The cashier says, no, you don't want to use the coupon, I can't return any change. I MEANT THE JACKET WAS 50 CENTS!!!! The item had been in inventory for so long that the "system" had reached its lowest price point and any item after a certain age automatically goes to $0.50.... caddman (who is glad he saved $50! and wondering why he could not have found the jacket for an anniversay present!)
