It remains to be seen whether or not the emperor is exposed as a fraud before the elections. Since the entire financial and CEO industry is paying heavily to ensure that the mirage lasts until post election, I believe it will fail. The neocons will play their trump car, the card of fear, at an accelerating rate as the election approaches, to influence the election and to cover for (and deflect the blame of) the train coming off the tracks. The "dirty bomb" search is one of many such announcements I expect in the coming months.
