There is still a hiring freeze where I work, in the chip sector, even though there hasn't been any layoffs for the last 3 months. When people leave for their own reasons the position is usually not filled as there is a policy where that headcount must be justified by the manager as if it were an increase and not just a replacement. Still, I admit the survivers are doing well. TP
