As he bitches about Homeland Security stealing rights now.

Bingo!! Fortress Amerika....

I mean, come one now... Saying you're going to spend more money for preventative measures directly equates to advocating more intrusive methods to gather and analyze information on people's lives... Because that's the ONLY WAY you can prevent these attacks locally...

If anything we need to spend more on infiltrating and eliminating terrorist infrastructure overseas.. We need to eliminate the support base for the terrorist infrastructure, keeping them on the run and as international fugitives.

But we also need to do more to increase our ability to respond to terrorist events, namely quick reaction teams to deal with biological, chemical, and nuclear attack, as well as to enforce the laws we currently have on the books to control immigration..

But we have to remember that the more we scrutinize financial accounts, or make it difficult for people to travel here, the more economic problems we're going to create.. Unless, of course, we pressure other nations to enact the same measures so the entire world is "inconvenienced" equally.
