"I didn't lie. Bush did"

You offered no proof. If you say someone lied without knowing if he did, then you are lying. It's not that hard to understand. You state your opinion as fact, and I don't do that.

Also note that someone can be wrong without lying (a FACT that seems to complicated for you to understand). Maybe Saddam never had any weapons at all, and the gassing of his own people was staged. But the intelligence indicated he did have them. He would not allow unfettered access or explain how they were gotten rid of.

You think I am an asshole because I believe President Bush, President Clinton, Colin Powell, Condy Rice and others involved in the international intelligence community who believed Saddam did have WMD's and I think you are an asshole for believeing Saddam Hussein and his two largest customers, Chirac and Putin. I'm very comfortable with my position, as I am sure you are with yours.

Bush lied. He did not tell the whole story. This is evidenced by what the military and intelligence officers that have spent decades watching the middle east have publicly stated.

While there was some intelligence indicating weapons programs and intent, there was also evidence of weapons being destroyed. There was evidence that Iraq did not have WMD.

Most experts agree that Iraq was a broken country and was not an immediate threat to anyone. After a decade of sanctions, no flight zones, bombing of suspected weapons sites, Saddam was reduced to a guy that could be cakewalked out of town in a matter of weeks and was reduced to hiding in a spider hole. Not a single WMD was ever used against the troops.

Bush was way conservative in using the intelligence estimates. Conservative to a fault.
