But you were completely against international law (binding UNSC resolutions) with regard to arresting, trying, and convicting him in the first place...

There was a Security Council resolution after that is it not? The US agreed to go for that vote. Once they go for that vote, then they are in essence saying that the UNSC resolution is not binding and that they needed another Security Council vote. That is my understanding. Am I wrong?
