Definately crazy on both levels. One, a three day suspension for a messaging on zero-tolerance nonsense. Two, the qualifications of the teacher. Or non-qualifications, as the case may be. Mr. Taranto is correct, turning off net send messaging is very easy and should have already been done. On NT based machines, all it requires is disabling the Messenger service. Done. Internet messengers like AIM and ICQ can be blocked at the firewall, if they even have one. Just someone not doing their job. Derek
