The interesting part is his conclusion that the NK people back the Leader.

Hard to believe though it may seem, I think it's probably the case, at least to a great enough extent that it would be wishful thinking to assume that any sort of popular rebellion is likely. I think there has been a good deal of wishful thinking on this issue in the US, as there has been with Iran.

Not that I have any great solutions in hand. The Taiwan situation threatens to bollocks up our Korea position in a major way.
