Elasticity of Energy

Look at the cars on the road. Behemoths, SUVs, gas guzzling sports cars. Disposable income has changed so much in the last 25 years that high gas prices don't drive many folks to buy many efficient cars anymore, nor to drive much less. And I'll bet more people set there thermostats at 70 than ever before.

As for supply limitations, the bulk of my reading, and I can't point to any one item, makes me think there are sufficient reserves for another 50-100 years. We should have a good grasp on alternative and renewable fuels by then.

As for Toyota, I suspect they'll be at the forefront of delivering vehicles using alternative energy sources.
