Yes, that is correct. It is a tough problem. While I see the need to control immigration, how can one fault a man or woman seeking a better life than Mexico's sorry government has ever given them?

>>Let's assume that the majority has your attitude and decides we will not tolerate any more illegals in this country as of January 10, 2004....How do you propose to stop it?......Build a wall?...Mine fields as far as the eye can see?....Jail everybody that ever hired an illegal despite papers that may be forged?

As long as people are willing to take the chance of dying to get in this country, measures to keep them out will have to be one hell of a lot more drastic than most of us have the stomach for....Immigration is one of those problems that is a lot easier to complain about than fix.<<

We elect officials to enforce the law, solve demographic & social problems--not to just throw open borders & let chips fall where they may. Now that businesses have become addicted to slave wages paid to illegals, suddenly sovereign rights of USA become unimportant.
Certainly it's a difficult problem since instead of cooperating with us, The Fox acts like a 3rd world dictator making demands on our president. We have the opportunity for the beginning of an immigration fix by putting pressure on Congress ASAP to crack down on those who are employing illegals & demanding that The Fox take some responsibility for "his people" who are fleeing their homeland due to his incompetent policies. He deflects blame from himself by pointing finger at us.
We need to pressure Congress & White House to get tough & enforce law instead of bending it for The Fox's convenience.
