Philly fodder
Center Mike Flanagan hadn't read in its entirety an opinion column regarding Brett Favre that appeared Thursday in the Philadelphia Daily News. Nevertheless, he was outraged by the gist of it.

Written by Don Russell, the column itemized some of the less-memorable moments in Favre family history. Russell referred to Favre as "Saint" Brett and mocked the notion that the death of Irvin Favre on Dec. 21 had had some bearing on the Packers' playoff fortunes.

"The guy's a scumbag," Flanagan said. "I'm embarrassed to be the same species that man is. You don't do that. Involving his family is so classless."

The Packers hardly need any more motivation.

"It's gotten around," Flanagan said. "I think guys know about it. For sure, when game time comes around, everybody will know about it.

"We were talking earlier. Should Brett know? It will be hard to keep away from him, I'm sure."

In 1992, Favre was arrested after a barroom brawl in Hattiesburg, Miss., that began when he was arguing with the future Mrs. Favre. A bystander tried to intervene, and soon Favre was wrestling him to the floor. Favre was charged with drunkenness, disorderly conduct, and profanity.
Would someone please splain what Brett did wrong<g>

Yeah, I believe it's his attempt at satire.............Is it tasteless? IMHO, yes but that's up to every reader to decide...................

I'll make you this promise......If the Pack win tomorrow, no excuses and nop crying from me. In my eyes the better team will win. I handled the TB loss the same way last year.
