Haven't seen the poster, but I'm sure I would like it. <g>

Re: the "illegal alien" thing, I consider it a hypocritical load of crap. The American government looks one way when its businesses want access to cheap labour to exploit, or to do the dirty, dangerous grunt work, but then get tough and start booting the same people back over the border when the work runs out or when they might have to start paying better wages.

I've travelled in the southwest U.S. enough to know that the whole thing is just a joke. Without the cheap labour, things would be grinding to an oozing halt. Does make me pissed off though when I hear people in the U.S. bitching that it would hurt the U.S. economy if they didn't have access to cheap laborers. Once again, it's the old wanting things both ways...Got to have access to cheap labour, but don't want other countries to have any kind of *legitimate* economic advantage. Hypocrites.

Worst of it is, I think Bush's "guest worker" thing is nothing more than a ploy to corner some votes in the election -- a carrot being dangled, but probably to be ripped away again after the election.

Just one croc's opinion that, of course...
