Jim a real problem with the Euro is that Germany and France have each extended their deficit beyond that allowed by the charter. The commission is seen unlikely to ask that they observe the rules and will make a more elastic policy. The rest of the member will then run their deficits over the limit...(goose/gander) and the slope will have been supplied fresh ice for the decent.
