NOT! The life insurance business is something I happen to know a great deal about. It (pd up whole life) is one of the most conservative long term, sound investments out there and I have the stats to prove it. You didn't do your son any favors, unless of course, you are going to live forever and guarantee his wife all she will ever financially need for the transtition period after losing the primary breadwinner, plus guarantee any progeny until they are off age and out of oh, let's say...highschool! Bet you don't even know who guarantees whole life policies against "failure" of any life insurance companies, do you? Yeah, I thought so.
