What costs about 145K here is near 200K there, and costs about 400K on the Left coast, not sure about the east coast. I know because I looked into it closely. We have folks < one mile from us that have moved here from the Left coast and they thought nothing of dropping a Million on a house here, because that's what they did out there. I loved in a 'not the best neighborhood' in the world in Ontario Cal., and houses today are 235K at least, but mainly avg about 380K. nuts, man.
