I do not believe that 'sin and physical' death have been abolished.

Hey, we agree!

I do not expect them to ever be abolished on earth ever.

The word of God says different. I think I'll go with scripture and not "the doctrine of Brian".

I think that is a false expectation imposed on verse speaking about the true victory found in Christ - that being over the death that Adam suffered the very day in which He ate that fruit.

Pure speculation Brian and entirely refuted by scripture. Hebrews 9:26 says "since then He must often be suffering from the disruption of the world, yet now, once, at the conclusion of the eons, for the repudiation of sin through His sacrifice, is He manifest.

Repudiate means NO-PLACING. But this would not be intelligible in our language, and might be mistaken for "remove," which is represented by another Greek word. Also it might be considered as synonymous with "a failure to place." This is far from correct. It means that through the sacrifice of Christ, there will be no place for sin at the conclusion of the eons. Sin is to be destroyed by destroying its place. It cannot exist when there is no place for it.

2 Timothy 1:10 assures us that Christ will ABOLISH DEATH 2 Timothy 1:10 “yet now is being manifested through the advent of our Saviour, Christ Jesus, Who, indeed, abolishes death, yet illuminates life and incorruption through the evangel”

I think your expectations are carnally minded and miss the point - I am not trying to insult you here - I enjoy conversing with you.

My “expectations” are simply taken from the scriptures. I believe God will do what He says He will do. And He says in His word He will indeed abolish both sin and death.

PS: I enjoy conversing with you also.

Edit: Time for bed. Catch you later.
