My brother and I used to clam for little necks in Stonington, CT off a little island called sandy point. In roughly 1 1/2 hours we would have a bushel. Now I doubt there is a bushel of clams left.

Little necks here stay at 3.99 a pound now. At times you may find a sale at $2.99. No clue what kind of break you would get for buying a bushel.

Oysters are even more than clams here. Not sure of the store price off hand but I had them recently as an appetizer at Mohegan Sun casino and they were $10 a half dozen. The Mohegan's even have their own oyster farm down the shore and they are still pricey at their restaurants.

Edit...I'm sure you know this but take the clams out of the shell and that pound of clams turns into about 3-4 ounces if you are lucky.
