Goodness gracious, the joke goes, we know Saddam has weapons of mass destruction because we have the receipts. No one thinks Saddam was any kind of a good guy. That does not excuse preemptive, unilateral, damn the world, damn the American Public, damn the truth invasion. It is possible (egads) to not support either Saddam or Shrubbery but you have to not be a rabid right-winger for that possibility to make any sense. There was a way to go about doing this that would have garnered international and national support. The fact that Shrubbery didn't care to do that and decided to blatantly lie instead should really disturb you. That it doesn't disturb you at all really disturbs me.
