I agree. Sorta. All the middle-class Bush supporters deserve to get screwed left and right, in and out, up and down. And they ARE getting screwed. By Bush. They fully deserve it. I am pleased.

As it was reported on the broadcast News that I watch, the program is intended to legitimize the status of these "..working people.." who are already here - for a period of about 3 years - with possible renewals. They came here to "..work.." at jobs where they were wanted - and others won't do; so it sounds like a pretty cost effective sollution to me. I note from your profile that you live in the Midwest. While the Midwest has seen some impact from illegal immigration, it pales in comparison tow what has happened in CA and FLA as well as some of the country's major cities. Where illegals choose to live, the pressure on the finances and infrastructure is huge. They tend to live 6-10 to a one bedroom apt.......excess money is sent back home and does not benefit the American economy. Usually the husband lives here and the family in the originating country. Many of the illegals come from rural areas of their country and have not a clue how to live in a city. That results in all kinds of problems for other residents of the city they choose to live in. In addition they can not afford nor do they want car or health insurance. Who do you think picks up the tab when they have an accident or have a stay in a hospital? The only people who would benefit from this law would be the large corps. They don't hire illegals now for fear of penalties. Legalizing the hiring of illegals will provide them with a cheap labor force. Who do you think they will replace? Only the rich corps. will benefit. Are you one of them?
