Christ is the truth, and therefore Christ has revealed to you more of himself (truth) as you continued to abide in him. i don't see why you think it is such a terrible thing to admit that different people are at different stages of faith and therefore have different levels of truth which have been revealed to them. God may have revealed things to you that he has not yet revealed to me. God may have revealed different things to me that he has yet to reveal to you. simply because i have the confidence that God has revealed to me certain truths does not mean i am trying to say, "my pop can beat up your pop". i simply know the difference between what at one time i could only speculate about, and what God has revealed to me. i know the difference, because there was a time when i wasn't sure who mystery babylon or the beast kingdom of revelation was. now, by the grace of God, i do. he has been merciful and loving and has answered my prayers and given me the confidence to proclaim it to others. Christ may very well do the same with you.
