Lizzie, I've corresponded with an AUS & UK citizen in past few mos re job losses in their countries. The Aussie sort of blamed U.S. companies and complained some large, long-time Aussie companies were U.S. takeovers. The one in UK said their local government had granted tax rebates to large UK co with promise of 5,000 jobs. One yr later that same co moved all 5,000 jobs to India. The multi-national corps & superwealthy individuals on the globe are using workers as pawns in their world-wide chess game. This same phenomenon brought most Americans' ancestors here in 19thC; however, those down-trodden immigrants were fighting for survival without any resources. Hopefully, U.S. voters will clearly see in next few mos that the Republican base is promoting their own self interests & will vote them out of office.
