This is why I worry about Clark as an alternative to Dean.

In an interview with the Concord Monitor, Wesley Clark goes Twilight Zone with a series of statements which are unsettling, even for an inexperienced candidate.

The most outlandish of the declarations: "I think the two greatest lies that have been told in the last three years are: 'You couldn't have prevented 9/11 and there's another one that's bound to happen.'

Runner-up: "I think it could have been prevented. I think it can be prevented again if we have the right leadership."

Second runner-up: "And if I'm president of the United States, I'm going to take care of the American people. We are not going to have one of these incidents."

Dee-dee-dee-dee. Dee-dee-dee-dee. Cue Rod.
