Al Re....Look, if you put Iraq in the context of terrorism, you immediately associate it with alqueada....

Maybe you do, but I don't. I said explicitly in that sentence that Saddam terrorised and murder his own people. I said nothing about Al Qaeda neither in that sentence, or that whole post. There are a lot of groups, and dictators who use terror to control their own people. Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot spring to mind. None of them were associated with Al Qeada. You seem to have this strange fixation that terror implies Al Qaeda; just as you want to believe the war on terror only involves the US versus Al Qaeda. In his speech, GW included not only Al Qaeda, but all terrorist groups, and the countries who support terrorists. Saddam certainly supported Hezbollah bombings in Israel, and used terror to control his own people. In GW state of the union speech Jan 29, 2002.

Our nation will continue to be steadfast and patient and persistent in the pursuit of two great objectives. First, we will shut down terrorist camps, disrupt terrorist plans, and bring terrorists to justice. And, second, we must prevent the terrorists and regimes who seek chemical, biological or nuclear weapons from threatening the United States and the world.

You will note that GW doesn't limit the war on terror to just Al Qaeda, but says we will shut down terrorists camps and plans and bring terrorists to justice. The far left wants to believe the war on terror only means war on Aq Qaeda. However GW as he stated it in his state of the union speech, by using the words terrorists instead of just Al Qaeda, defined the war on terror as more than just Al Qaeda.

Our military has put the terror training camps of Afghanistan out of business, yet camps still exist in at least a dozen countries. A terrorist underworld -- including groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, Jaish-i-Mohammed -- operates in remote jungles and deserts, and hides in the centers of large cities.

In this paragraph, GW definitely includes other terrorist groups than just Al Qaeda.

Our second goal is to prevent regimes that sponsor terror from threatening America or our friends and allies with weapons of mass destruction. Some of these regimes have been pretty quiet since September the 11th. But we know their true nature. North Korea is a regime arming with missiles and weapons of mass destruction, while starving its citizens.

Iran aggressively pursues these weapons and exports terror, while an unelected few repress the Iranian people's hope for freedom.

Iraq continues to flaunt its hostility toward America and to support terror. The Iraqi regime has plotted to develop anthrax, and nerve gas, and nuclear weapons for over a decade. This is a regime that has already used poison gas to murder thousands of its own citizens -- leaving the bodies of mothers huddled over their dead children. This is a regime that agreed to international inspections -- then kicked out the inspectors. This is a regime that has something to hide from the civilized world.

States like these, and their terrorist allies, constitute an axis of evil, arming to threaten the peace of the world. By seeking weapons of mass destruction, these regimes pose a grave and growing danger. They could provide these arms to terrorists, giving them the means to match their hatred. They could attack our allies or attempt to blackmail the United States. In any of these cases, the price of indifference would be catastrophic.

In this section GW talks about the axis of evil. In the third paragraph, Gw specifically talks about Iraq. Note that there isn't a lie in there. Gw says Iraq support terrorist. True, Saddam bragged about supporting the bombing of Israeli citizens and paying a 25000 dollar reward to suicide bombers. In the second sentence, Gw states Saddam has plotted to develop anthrax etc. GW didn't say Saddam had them. In the third sentence, GW talks about the gassing of Iraqi citizens; True again.
In the fourth sentence, GW talks about Iraq agreeing to inspections, and then kicking out the inspectors. True again. GW doesn't define what inspectors, and where they were kicked out of, so in order to call GW a liar here, you would have to prove Saddam never kicked an inspector out of anywhere in Iraq. And in the final sentence, Gw states Saddam has something to hide. True again. All of the mass graves, torture chambers and video tapes are indeed things a brutal dictator would like to hide. You can't find one provable lie in there. But not to worry. In order to claim GW was indeed lying, you now define terror to mean Aq Qaeda, so that when GW talks about Saddam sponsoring terror, you claim he actually was saying Saddam supported Al Qaeda. When GW states Saddam has plotted to develop anthrax, etc, you state that GW actually meant to say Saddam had tons of the stuff in existence, and because we haven't found it yet, GW lied. Wrong!! Your interpretations are the lies. Where GW talks about Saddam kicked out inspectors, you point to an instance UN inspectors left before the war, and that proves Saddam never kicked any inspector out of anywhere. Wrong again. And when Gw states Saddam has something to hide, you assume that means tons of WMD, so of course
GW lied there. Wrong again. That is not what GW said. Quit putting words in his mouth, and them claiming he lied.

In that state of the union speech, GW never stated Iraq supported Al Qaeda at any time, much less the 9/11 attacks. In that speech GW purposely broadened the war on terrorist to include all terror groups. Your insinuations to the contrary are the lies.
