Actually the ivory tower liberal snobs are for Dean.
Most loiberal colege professors polled are for Dean, for instance. That's the old-fashioned liberal hand-wringer.

Hey look, dean is an impressive guy (for Vermont), he's just not the right candidate to run against Bush. Everyone knows Bushies ae salivating at the thought of getting Dean to run against. He would be more or less easy for Bush to beat. Probably a cakewalk. Dean's only advantage is a zealous far-left base similar to Nader's but that will hurt hm as much as it helps him once swing-voters see that many Deanies look and sound a little wacky. The majority of gays for instance support Dean because of his strong stance for gay unions. That's poison in the general election though. Dean won't even have a chance in key states like Missouri. Face it, we can do a lot better.
