I read the article about Dr. Steinberg this morning. I also read at one time that Dr. Dean
baked apple pies for his neighbors. It took him most of the day and the article said they
weren't very good, but at this difficult time, it is nice to laugh.

I'm up tight over the Iowa caucuses and the constant attacks on Dean which I find unfair.
I read this morning that he is going on the offensive, and I think he should.

John Edwards is a nice man. I had always had a high opinion of him until I saw the
next to the last Iowa debate and Edwards, Kerry, Gephardt and Liberman sounded like
what they are: Washington politicians. They kept saying: "vote for me, vote for me."
I was put off. They never asked what they could do for you. They only asked what
you could do for them. Howard Dean, on the other hand, says it is up to us to take
back our country.

I am not sure why Edwards will not seek re-election in the Senate. Probably, he could
have handled both campaigns. I wonder if it is considered uncouth to seek re-election to Congress
and to the office of president at the same time.

Thanks for the post.
