Took it for a spin this afternoon. I don't think "Classic" users will be disappointed. It seems a bridge between the "basicness" of Classic and avoids a bunch of non-essential stuff that bothered (me, at least) with the Go2Net/INSP "new version". Search worked well. "Options" changes worked well. Did not encounter any unexpected displays. Checked both in Netscape 4.08, and on MacOS.

Search Results:
a. Search result list is in same font as msgs. Suggestion: Type size could be reduced to allow more results displayed here. The list, after all, is not about readability at that stage of a search. It is about retrieving the desired msg first, then reading it afterwards. Would be nice if the searched keyword were highlighted some way...a different color or bold/italic.

b. In some results of the returned list, the searched keyword doesn't show up, apparently residing deeper in the msg, whereas only the first few sentences of the msg display. Is it possible to parse "x" amount of char. or whole words on either side of the keyword, and show that instead?

Options: Good choice of options for various list display lengths. Individual users should be happy with the flexibility here.

My earlier testing, reporting that search worked fine, was previous to this change: "you can click on public messages in threads and search results and won't hit a dead-end."

Now it's dead. Returning zero results for anything. (checked both NN and IE)
