The BASIC cause of this is US support of Israel. THAT is why we are a target. I am glad you brought that up, LL. I had been meaning to post on it. If we closed down Israel and handed the place over to the Palestinian, would that pacify the Muslims in the Malaysian Maddressas? No. They would still hate us and the present ME rulers, and continue the Terror. Just read the tirades put out by Al Q. When they have hit us over the last 20 years, Israel was way down on their list of grievances. The Israel/Pal situation is going to be an "armed truce" after the wall is built. Perle/Frum have correctly identified our two main ME problems now as the Saudi funding of Terror education and operation and the Iranian support of Terror and Nukes. Syria and Egypt are lower order problems. None of these problems will be ended or increased by our support/nonsupport of Israel. Israel is just a convenient hook for those who don't see the whole forest.
