I understand what you are saying. The fact still remains that political parties should have no place in deciding on new laws/whatever. Like I said in my other post (I think) was that a lot of good ideas get shot down by the opposite party just because it is the other party that came up with the idea.

Unless new parties act in a non partisan way it just ends up diluting things that much more. Party affiliation should have no bearing on any new laws/ideas but that is not the case. The good of people/country needs to come first. The parties should not enter into it at all.
