TP - Bush and Co. will have to answer for their security
lapses prior to 9/11. They were in charge for 8 months. They were in charge on 9/11. I agree with you that they let the small distractions, and their Iraq planning, take time away from more important security matters.

They also ignored, and even declined recommendations to create a Dept. of Homeland Security prior to 9-11.

I think they are vulnerable on both military and security issues.

Interesting. I've often wondered if Bin Laden and his buddies waited for the opportune moment to attack us, and found it soon after the new president took office.
