Unreal that something that simple to fix stays broken. Completely screws the entire system up. We have needed a complete revamping of the tax laws for longer than I care to remember. Instead of making it simple (like a flat tax) they continue to make it harder and harder to understand.Some of the tax laws make no sense at all.here is just one of many I'm talking about. It concerns the business we are in.

We do diagnostic coding of medical records. For the most part the hospitals here are tav exempt so no problem with CT sales tax. But, we did take an account with about 12 doctors in the office. They were not tax exempt. I called the state to find out what the deal was. The good part...If we sat in their offices and coded these records all by our/their books there was no sales tax. If we used the computers (3M makes great software for this)to figure the codes and enter it into their system we had to charge them a state sales tax. What the hell is the sense of a stupid law like that?
