Eric, thanks for the homework assignment, I guess it will cut in to my posting/browsing time though! I had the "cutting losses" dilemma just recently with MSA. Sound trading practice and discipline demanded that the stock be sold after I incurred about a 45% haircut. But since I am investing on fundies I have tended to give these stocks more latitude for swings and more time to let them do their thing. I know what jrhana did on the pullback, he loaded the boat, but that also violates a cardinal rule to never average down (though I was tempted myself). Hmmmm...if I just stand here like a deer in the headlights long enough maybe I'll get the same performance as I did last year, and I would have no complaints about that...I will take a look for some Bernstein material (btw, Dr. Elder prescribes five bullets to a clip, 20 indicators is 4X too many!).
