Bush was probably too emotional and overly personalized Iraq and Saddam- I'm sure that made the whole Iraq situation a bigger deal to him than reason would have dictated. I give you:

"He tried to kill my daddy," Bush once said, referring to a car bomb targeted for his father in Kuwait in 1993. The FBI linked the would-be bomb to Iraqi intelligence.

Emotionalism is no excuse for bad judgment, of course, Nor if it an excuse for distorting facts, and turning supositions into concrete data.
