No. That tech thought it should "get" a bigger subsidy than food was amazing.

BUT if the farms don't somehow get subsidized in this country then the price of food is going up, or we will be importing even greater amounts of food.

To quote a college professor back in days when I thought I would farm, "There's one person in this class that can make a living farming today, but he doesn't have the desire to do it. The rest of you are SOL cause you can't afford the land."

Turned out to be very true. And will be even truer as time progresses.

But yes, Goods and services will get supplied without subsidies. At some price. From some country. Possibly at the detriment of those who can least afford it.
