Easy Komander Amerika, have you ever considered that in stead of a forced take over, there are those "marriages of convenience"; look at the peaceful divorce that the Czech Republic and Slovakia were able to perform...

Honey yields better results than vinegar, if done right, half of the respective populations in LatAm would LOVE to be part of the United States of [the real] America.

Just leave the testosterone at home and for once, make a real effort to learn one or two other languages. (in particular, Spanish and Portuguese --you can forget French) -ggg

Wait... Once US "acquires" the Americas, wouldn't those people be Americans and hence entitled to all the salary benefits etc? That doesn't really lead to lower labour costs (but it does lead to higher taxes, to help bring South America to the standards of the North :-)
