I posted my reply to give proper context to the interview. No, you replied to apply your spin to the interview. You know, I'm one of those people who were outraged by the statement, so I think I'm in a better position than you to explain that outrage. If you don't want to listen to the POV of the experiencer, that's not unexpected. Apparently your boy doesn't either. What you posted offers the defense for the statement. I was already aware of it. I can understand it. What I'm telling you is that defense doesn't cut it with anyone but the choir. One of the things that I used to do in a previous life was to analyze conflicts like this and offer mollifying explanations. Of course, to have a use for that, one would need to have a desire for harmony. If one grooves on controversy and polarization, that's another matter. And so it goes...
