I'm very curious about actual food costs at places like Costco, as opposed to bogus numbers put out by the government. I think hoarding a bunch of common use non-perishables foods and goods now might make a lot of sense. It would hold it's value much better than US Dollars yielding 3/4% of a percent, and eating is a pretty basic thing to have covered regardless of how wealthy one is. Might want to beat the rush, before the Asians buy all the scant food inventory that's left in the world, and the shortage really hits. The risk is that one's house and storage might burn down. Might want to pass on the fuel storage idea though <g>.
