I knew... as I wrote that word that it would put me in a tight spot.... in answer to your question: NO. it is just a market price (assuming $1.50 IS market price) The worker is free to decline. I would pay whatever the market rate is, plus a bit more to assure me of better workers. however... what I realy meant was NOT to do what other... less kind people would do... and treat them with no respect, or be insensitive to some of their conditions.... hard to explain... I know that it is a hard term to define in a black and white world, but being kind to people and relatively "sensitive" to their specific situations can yield good results and have people appreciate you... However.... I am not going to ignore economic and hard number realities... nor I would lie and say I am doing this because I am a nice guy only. I would do it because it would benefit me --and I am a nice guy too-- -gggg The situation is what it is. You just do not have to be an arsehole about it... I am not sure how else I can define it. Exploitation really was a bad choice of terms on my part. Also... There may be other things that one could do that others may not consider... if a factory is up and running and working well... perhaps a combined effort between employers, government and workers can be implemented to build some educational and/or recreational facilities that could enhance the lives of the workers involved. Do not ask me those things LL... I am scrooge and I am not the best in dealing with these things... I am an opportunist, I am merely a simple greedy capitalist pig that will take any advantage is given to me without any regret. Perhaps I should type less and shut up my fingers so it does not get me into trouble, as I just did.
