China has maybe 200 nukes, maybe 20 on missiles that could reach us. We could turn their country to glass, as we could with any country. I don't think they're eager for incineration. Any sort of conventional invasion would be detected by satellite months before it could be launched. The US is the LEAST threatened country on Earth, by any other country. Now that we're racheting up global hate, we're probably the MOST threatened country by terrorists. We took their best shot with 9/11, a masterpiece of terrorism. Pakistan is scary - they could provide the terrorists with nukes, as could Russia, or some disaffected Russian controlling one.
