I beg to differ, but that is my humble opinion. To me, it seems that there are more than two ways of looking at political and economic issues of a country, and a third party can very well do just that.

What really matters is: what can the guy in power really achieve? WHO cares what party does he come from?

Well, it does matter a bit, since not everyone has the same idea as to EXACTLY WHAT they want the future president to achieve. Political views of the candidate are still important in who gets chosen... I hope :-)
