Yeah, how 'bout that. And how about the war avoidance deal Saddam tried to make whereby the US military and CIA could roam his nation at will. Too bad Bush rejected both the UN process as well as Saddam's overture. Americans are dying and getting wounded now like ducks in a duck shoot and all Bush had to do was either let the UN do its work or take the deal Saddam had proposed and no one would have died.

I really do wish that Hans Blix had the foresight to have declared him and his UN weapons teams as human shields. But I've gotta blame Bush more than Blix. Blix probably had Bush figured right that even if the weapons inspectors were still in Iraq, that Bush would have begun the bombing anyway.

RMD, There was a smoking gun, alright. It was evidenced in the mass graves of hundreds of thousands of Iraqi citizens murdered at Saddam's order. That's good enough for me.
