The idea is used to emphasize an intentionally-ignored phenomenon. You do go to prison-in any strong republic-for the duration of a war during which you support the enemy. We let them stab us in the back on Vietnam. We will not permit them to stab us in the back while the subhuman Islamic world bears down on a weakened West. Throwing them into the street will be just fine, thanks. Incarcerating them just increases the influence of those who would also FEED them. Blowhard Bill O'Reilly, the nation's most prominent anti-Hispanic bigot, isn't taken to task for screaming constantly about "troops on the border", while the male menopausal veins stand out his forehead. Imprisoning the fifth column Democrats among us for the duration of a desperate war should inspire even LESS outrage...
