But Condor, Osama didn't really do it. < I often think of how one man has altered the worlds psyche and caused such enormous political and economic chaos. He has created panic in the worlds superpower, altered alliances, disrupted business, re-written the rules of security and insecurity etc. etc. etc.
> He was a bit like Globalstar crashing, which caused Long Term Capital Management to pack a sad, which was involved with the Great Asian Contagion. Osama and 911 were just a trigger.

For decades the "free" west has been increasingly looking like Orwell's 1984, with ever-increasing restrictions and Big Brotherism. Osama just gave critical mass to what was already ready to go critical.

The butterfly taking off and causing a hurricane didn't really cause the hurricane. It was just a trigger.

The PNAC is grateful for Osama. They needed Osama.
