Mr. Blank cannot distinguish cause and effect from temporal coincidence. After a major war it is to be expected for the countries to adjust their alliances. In the case of Libya, they have been working on their rehabilitation program long before Junior was in office. This minor renouncing of a program that had not really begun comes at the tail of a multi-year campaign to normalize relations with the UN and western powers. As for Bin Laden himself, he seems to make plans and tapes much as he did before Junior swaggered about taking him dead or alive 849 days ago. TP
