oh I see, you are citing a poll that said Arnold would win. Well there were some of those I'm sure but the resounding chant was that it would be close.

You didn't explain the Newt decision, you have selective memory. Whatever the repubs won was *significantly below* expectations in 98. They had Mineta on TV here after the 98 vote, I remember it clearly.... he was laughing and said "its a great day to be a democrat".

Anyway who cares about this now, I think you are trying to make a case that Bush is destined to win (in California, even- LOL) because some polls say he will. I don't object to that thinking, it actually works in my favor.
