The abandonment of Vietnam and its people, especially those who served us loyally, was and remains a national disgrace....and given the aftermath..even you should be able to figure that one out....

For every Dictator that was removed by his own people, there are more who were forced out by foreign troops (or died of old age). I suppose it was wrong for the Vietnam to invade Cambodia, and remove Pol Pot. And I suppose it was equally wrong that Kenya invaded Uganda, and removed Idi Amin. IMO, Saddam was no better than either of those two. Probably worse.

Dictators have a tendancy to stick around - look at Castro, or Franco. Frankly IMO if a Dictator kills enough people, it is virtually impossible for the local population to remove him except through death by old age (examples being Mao and Stalin).
