Back in '95 I was in Port Washington, Wisconsin during a storm. The harbor breakwater was 8' above the water and the lighthouse is on legs another 20' in the air. The waves were actually smacking into the lighthouse. I saw something white coming out of a wave and it was the bow of a 35' Coast Guard boat. It was going through the waves instead of going over them. Amazing to see.

This is a week where they fly in from Australia and have the big contests. I just got up from a nap and the Palms are being hit with a Gale Force wind. Never seen anything like it. My building is angled so that I have my lanai door open and can walk out without a problem. But across the way at the Hotel it is really blowing. The local weather says 35 mph but it is much stronger here.
